1. SpongeBob SquarePants
SpongeBob SquarePants is the main character of the cartoon.
He is a yellow sea sponge who lives in a pineapple-shaped house in Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob is cheerful, energetic and almost always excited about whatever he is doing.
He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab, where he prepares the famous Krabby Patty.
SpongeBob loves his job, catching jellyfish and spending time with Patrick. He also attends boating school because he desperately wants a driving licence, although passing the driving test is one of his biggest challenges.

2. Patrick Star
Patrick Star is SpongeBob’s best friend.

He is a red crab who loves money and is always looking for ways to make more of it.

Although he can be extremely greedy, Mr. Krabs cares about his daughter Pearl and sometimes treats SpongeBob almost like part of his family.
6. Sheldon J. Plankton
Plankton is one of the main recurring villains in the series.
He owns the Chum Bucket, a restaurant located across the road from the Krusty Krab.
Plankton’s biggest dream is to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula and make his own restaurant successful.
He creates robots, disguises and complicated inventions to get the formula, but his plans usually fail.

7. Karen Plankton
Karen is Plankton’s computer wife.

8. Gary the Snail
Gary is SpongeBob’s pet sea snail.
